Julie Nathan has been teaching flute for over four decades. She holds a BME and MM from The Ohio State University where she was a graduate assistant and principal flutist in the band and orchestra. Her primary teacher was Katherine Borst Jones. Most recently, Julie built a band program at Worthington Christian Schools, increasing the number of students in the high school band tenfold over her tenure. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Julie is the principal flutist in the Grace Polaris Orchestra and maintains an active schedule as a freelance flutist. Julie's private students have excelled including some who have earned membership in several honor bands, and some who have majored in music and continue to perform.
